Profile:

Monumental & Masonry Supplies are quality Stone Masons and Stone Suppliers. They manufacture all Stone Products including Kitchen Benchtops, Fireplaces, Monuments, Headstones etc. They also have a Sand Blasting Booth that can be used for surface preparation of small items.

They are a family business started in 1976 and still run by the same family.

Issues:

  • Their website was designed by a friends’ son and didn’t really present them how they wanted. They didn’t promote it in their normal offline advertising as they were slightly embarrassed by it.
  • The website had never really achieved much for them. They had no idea how many people looked at it and anecdotal evidence was that it hadn’t really generated any leads.

Needs:

  • A professional looking website that they could update if they wanted. Must be easily optimised to increase Natural Search.
  • Wanted to start sending out electronic emails to their large client database, as well as allowing prospects to sign up.
  • Clear “Call to Action” boxes/buttons to maximise conversion of traffic (paid and unpaid)
  • Needed to know how the website was going (eg. How many visitors etc)
  • Website Optimisation Plan to improve Natural Search traffic and conversion

Solution:

  • Designed and built a professional looking website using the Adobe Business Catalyst platform. This is a dynamic platform that allows the client to easily update their own website.
  • Included the eMarketing Module for Newsletters. Uploaded their current Database and set up a "Sign Up", which automatically gave the Prospect access to a discount voucher after opting into Newsletter.
  • Ensured that the design included clear "Call to Action" boxes and buttons. Call to Action boxes added to all key landing pages.
  • Started client on the "Gold" web marketing plan. This included:
    • All tasks required in our Web Marketing Plan.
    • Managing Database, Newsletters, Blogs and Announcement as well as any client content requirements.

Results (as at January 2015 – 3 1/2 year period)

  • Website completed and operating as planned.
  • Visitor Traffic up from around 500/month to 3 800/month. This is an increase of around 660%.
  • Goal Conversion^ up from around 5/month to between 80-100/month. This is an increase of at least 1500%.
